Hi, I’m Nicole, a professional dog photographer based in Las Vegas and the owner of Pawtraits by Nicole. I discovered flyball in 2000, started playing in 2001, and was obsessed for the next 15 years. Now that I’m retired from competing, I love capturing the excitement of flyball tournaments through photography. I’m looking forward to photographing another Tournament of Champions. See you soon!

Mya Mackey of Mya Mackey Photos

In 2021, with an old family camera and a basic kit lens, I dipped my toes into the world of photography, capturing candid moments of my dogs. This humble beginning soon evolved into a passionate journey, acquiring my first prime lens and gradually upgrading to the professional gear I now have.

My enthusiasm found a focused purpose when I stumbled into dog sports photography during my team’s flyball practices. Armed with my camera, I became a regular presence at every event, capturing the essence of high-energy competitions. A turning point came when I stepped in for a photographer at a flyball tournament, igniting an enduring excitement for sports photography. The thrill of freezing dynamic moments into sharp, vivid images gives me the jitters. Preserving fleeting moments in time and transforming them into everlasting memories has become my passion. Now, as I gear up to capture the U-FLI champs, a dream I’ve nurtured since my sports photography journey began, I feel incredibly blessed and excited to make this milestone a reality.

Tyler Carter of TK9 Photo

My photography journey began under the stars in Northern California, where nights spent gazing through redwood forests sparked a desire to capture the awe of those moments. After discovering my parents’ old Nikon and many failed attempts, I finally photographed the constellation Orion, reigniting the wonder I felt as a child. From that point, photography became my way of freezing time and holding onto the emotions inspired by the world around me.

This passion deepened with the arrival of Millie, our cattle dog mix, who became my muse as my wife and I immersed ourselves in dog sports. Capturing sporting dogs in action, especially during Flyball, is a favorite—watching them finish a run, drop the ball, and joyfully dive into a tug with their handler is pure magic. Every shot reflects the deep connection between dogs and their humans, moments I feel privileged to preserve.
