U-FLI Scholarship Program Overview
The United Flyball League International (U-FLI) Scholarship Program honors the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of junior handlers who have successfully progressed through the novice, intermediate, and advanced levels in U-FLI flyball. This scholarship supports passionate individuals as they begin their journey into post-secondary education.
Launched in 2023, the program was made possible by several generous donations. We are proud to invest in the future of young flyball athletes who are equally committed to their education.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a U-FLI junior handler who has successfully completed the novice, intermediate, and advanced levels.
- Be currently enrolled in or accepted into a post-secondary education program.
- Submit a completed application form and essay by September 30, 2025.
Application Process
Interested candidates must:
- Complete the official application form (see link below).
- Submit a 300–500 word essay detailing:
- Their journey as a junior handler
- Personal growth through the various U-FLI levels
- Their passion for animals and aspirations for their future ahead
Selection Process
A selection committee made up of U-FLI representatives will carefully review all applications and essays to select the scholarship recipient(s).
Scholarship Award
- The scholarship amount awarded will be determined after all donations have been received.
- The scholarship(s) can be applied toward tuition, books, supplies, and living expenses related to the recipient(s) post-secondary education.
Important Dates
- Application Period: September 1, 2025 – September 30, 2025
- Review and Evaluation: October 1, 2025 – October 7, 2025
- Winner(s) Announced: October 25, 2025 at the Tournament of Champions
