Did you know that while the current Championship Series is barely underway, your U-FLI championship committee is already planning next year's qualifiers and championship event?  One of the goals for the series is to bring the qualifiers and championship to geographically diverse areas in order to encourage registered clubs to participate.  While historically some of the qualifiers may have returned to past venues or host clubs, the location of each of these mini-championships and the Tournament of Champions is evaluated and selected on an annual basis.    Through this selection process, U-FLI hopes to encourage clubs to participate in running qualifiers and championship events, not just running IN them.

U-FLI has always required proposed venues to meet certain minimum conditions and for qualifier and championship proposals to include certain elements, including illustrations.  These were developed in order to promote consistency in racing conditions among the qualifier locations.  In the past, these checklists were not readily available to clubs considering hosting.  Regional Qualifier & Championship Proposal Standards and Guidelines are now available online (to download, click below).  The championship committee invites you to review these and submit your proposal for the 2011 championship series on or before 09/27/10.
